Prayer Walk

Hidden Falls offers a 1/2 mile Prayer Walk just inside the woods, giving retreaters the chance to spend time contemplating spiritual matters.

Starting at the edge of the woods near the Westview Village, the Prayer Walk follows a paved trail, meandering through the forest.

Benches along the way provide comfortable places to pause, reflect, and pray.

Two overlook decks are nestled along the banks of the ravine, providing additional places for rest, reflection, and views of the falls.

Near the middle of the Prayer Walk is the Suspension Bridge. Spanning over 175 feet, the Suspension Bridge crosses a deep ravine cut into the hillside by our waterfalls over hundreds of years. While safe, the bridge is scary to cross because it sways as you walk.

Those pausing in the middle of the bridge can look upstream and see our northernmost falls. Downstream you can see the ravine continue into the woods.

After the bridge, the Prayer Walk follows the contour of the ravine, circling around back to the beginning of the trail.

Hiking the Prayer Walk straight through (without pausing for prayer and reflection) takes approximately twenty minutes. We suggest planning at least an hour for a more fulfilling experience.

Note: The Prayer Walk does go up and downhill and provides a bit of a workout. The frequent prayer stops provide sufficient rest, but we encourage taking it slow.

The Prayer Walk is provided at no charge to registered guests of Hidden Falls
